Many high performing professionals have a break from their careers through either choice or necessity to focus on family responsibilities.
After some time, many consider returning to work but experience challenges in finding an entry route which does not involve a significant step backwards in their career. This phenomenon has created an untapped pool of talent for Hong Kong employers.
HKEX introduced the “Back to Work Programme” in 2013 to support these high calibre professionals in their return to the workforce and contribution to Hong Kong’s financial industry.
The programme is eight weeks in length and aims to prepare participants for returning to full time employment. The programme includes a company orientation and on-the-job placement to one of the company’s functional areas.
Interested professionals who have left the workforce for at least two years are welcomed to apply. As a prerequisite, applicants should have a university degree and at least 5 years’ relevant working experience.
