Finance

The Group Finance Division plays a vital role at HKEX, responsible for managing the Group’s financial planning and budgeting, cash and liquidity management, monitoring and reporting Group financial performance, as well as, formulating and enforcing the Group’s overall financial controls.  The Division includes all aspects of Finance including, accounting & regulatory reporting, management control, balance sheet management, treasury, and financial communications. The Divisional Management Trainee programme within the Group Finance Division will focus on Financial Control (Management Reporting, Project Control, Systems Enhancement, and Treasury & Revenue Reporting).

Role Description

  • Gain experience across a wide-variety of different Finance functions
  • Partner with our business stakeholders to prepare and gather financial data
  • Support our management reporting processes, including budgeting, peer-to-peer comparison, segmentation reporting and dashboard creation
  • Gain understanding of HKEX’s project control processes, and project closure procedures
  • Strengthen experience in financial analysis via treasury reporting to Board Sub-committee and monthly revenue analysis to senior management
  • Support our system enhancement projects, for example by helping with requirements definition, testing, and project management
  • Collaborate across the business with a wide-range of stakeholders in order to help manage our activities throughout different stages of our project lifecycle

Requirement

  • Fresh graduate in 2020, or recent graduate in the last two years with less than 2 years of work experience after graduation
  • Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
  • On track for, or achieved, minimum 2:1 degree (UK), or 3.5 GPA (Hong Kong or US) or equivalent
  • Commercial awareness and interest in global financial markets
  • Some familiarity with the financial services sector of Hong Kong
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
