Sports ZERO: Sports with Zero Waste

Project by: The Hong Kong Award for Young People

Sports ZERO, a three-year programme, that aims to recover plastic waste from nature while unleashing the potential of young people.

Placing diversity, sustainability, and sports at its core, the programme inspires young people to give plastic waste a second life. Starting from collecting plastic waste while kayaking, to creating upcycled plastic products for sports, and utilising upcycled sports equipment to build more inclusive communities through emerging sports. Organisations including CareER, one of the charity partners of HKEX Foundation, will also form partnerships helping to provide job opportunities for the disabled who are underemployed amid the pandemic.
