Mr Shaun Roache is the IMF’s Resident Representative in Hong Kong SAR. He has gained wide experience during his 10 years in the Fund, having worked on Brazil, China, G-20 multilateral surveillance, and global commodity markets. He also worked as part of the team managing the Fund’s investments. Before joining the IMF, Mr Roache worked for 10 years in the private sector as a global financial market strategist, including for ING Barings and Citigroup. He holds an MSc and a PhD in economics from Birkbeck College, University of London and is a CFA charter holder.
