Mr Vincent Cheung graduated from the University of Hong Kong with B Soc Sc (Hons) in 1985. After graduation, Mr Cheung joined HSBC as trainee dealer and had worked in HSBC London in 1987.
In 1991, Mr Cheung joined Mitsubishi Trust and Banking Corp as chief dealer running the Treasury Business in FX and Rates. He also worked at Royal Bank of Canada and Banco Exterior de Espana before he joined ABN-Amro Bank in 1995 as the Head of Money Market.
In 2006, Mr Cheung was promoted to Head of Local Market Trading Hong Kong (SVP) with the prime responsibility in managing the FX and Interest Rates Trading business in Hong Kong.
Mr Cheung joined Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited as the Head of Rates Trading in 2010, managing the HKD and offshore RMB trading business and was promoted to Deputy General Manager in 2012 and to Head of Trading in 2015. He is also the Director of Po Sang Financial Investment Services Co. Ltd and is a member of the Gold User Committee (GUC) under the Market Development Division of the HKEX.
