Head of Asia-Pacific Energy & Utilities and China Research Initiative
Ying Wang is Head of Fitch Ratings’ Asia-Pacific Energy & Utilities Team and the Head of Fitch’s China Research Initiative. She is based in Shanghai.
She started at Fitch as a Director in the Asia-Pacific Corporate Ratings Department based in Beijing from 2009 to 2011. She oversaw a wide range of sectors and her primary areas of coverage included real estate, industrials, and energy and utilities.
Before joining Fitch, Ms Wang worked as a credit research analyst at JP Morgan based in New York, where she covered the North American cable, satellite, and media industries. Her team was ranked among the top three of Institutional Investors’ All-American cable and satellite high yield fixed income research teams for a number of years.
She re-joined Fitch’s Shanghai office in July 2013 after serving as Senior Manager of Credit Research at Sino-US United MetLife Insurance Company Ltd. Asset Management Center in Shanghai, where she was responsible for research and investment analysis of both onshore and offshore Chinese credits across a wide array of sectors.
Ms Wang has a Bachelor of Science in business with honors from the Kelley School of Business of Indiana University in Bloomington.
