Jianchiu Han is the Chief Investment Officer at BOCHK Asset Management Limited. He has the overall responsibility of overseeing all investment management functions ranging from fixed income, equity to alternative investments for the Company.
Mr. Han has over 20 years of investment experience in asset management, multi-asset investment and structured finance with various multinational financial institutions. Prior to joining the Company, he was the Head of Capital Management at CITIC Securities International, responsible for managed portfolio for the company and structured finance business.
Mr. Han has solid investment experience in various assets classes including fixed income, currency, commodity, equity and derivatives instruments. He was Head of Fixed Income of CICC (Hong Kong) and Head of Fixed Income Structured Products at BOCI where he led the multi-assets investment and proprietary trading teams.
Previously, Mr. Han worked for Chase Manhattan Bank, AIG Financial Products and Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, responsible for interest rate, currency derivatives and options investments and model construction.
Mr. Han graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China; he also holds a Master degree from University of Alberta in Canada, and a PhD degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the U.S.
He was the winner of Abramson Award in 2000 for the best article published in Business Economics, the journal of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE) in the U.S. Abramson Award is a recognized award and their winners include Nobel Laureate and former US Treasury secretary.
