Tony Wang joined Bank of China Head Office in 1994. From 1998-2001, he was appointed as the Acting Head of Financing Division, Global Markets, Bank of China. During the period of 2001-2004, Mr Wang served in Bank of China Hong Kong Branch as Senior Manager, Joint Chief Portfolio Manager of Foreign Currency Fixed Income Investment and Head of Global Assets Management. He was relocated back to Bank of China Head Office in 2004, working as the Head of Debt Capital Market and Chief Portfolio Manager of RMB Fixed Income Investment. In 2008, Mr Wang was transferred to Bank of China (Hong Kong) Ltd as the Deputy General Manager of Global Markets. Since January 2016, Mr Wang was appointed as General Manager, Global Markets, Bank of China (Hong Kong) Ltd.
Mr Wang is deeply involved in the onshore and offshore RMB bond market development. He lead arranged some benchmark deals, such as the first RMB Corporate CP in Mainland China inter-bank market, the first RMB Treasury Bond in Hong Kong market, the first offshore RMB corporate bond(“Dim Sum Bond”) and the first offshore RMB bond issued by supernational. Mr Wang also managed the fixed income portfolio over US$ 78 billion and RMB 430 billion for Bank of China.
Mr Wang graduated from Beijing Foreign Studies University with a Bachelor Degree of Arts in 1994 and got an EMBA degree from CUHK in 2011.
