Finance Division comprises the following four key functions: 

Financial Reporting

Financial Reporting team is responsible for the Group's external financial reporting, regulatory reports, and tax planning and compliance. It sets the group's policies for accounting, transfer pricing as well as internal financial controls. It also manages the day-to-day accounting operations relating to finance systems, fixed assets, payments, billing, and credit control.

Management Reporting & Facilities Management

Management Reporting & Project Controls team is responsible for the Group's budgeting, forecasting, internal management reporting and project financial control.

Central Procurement team is established under Finance Division with the aim of supporting procurement activities including expense category management to assist all divisions/departments' purchasing needs in order to achieve higher cost/process efficiency.

Corporate Services team is responsible for providing the divisions of the Group with all administrative services, including office administration and property and facilities management.

Treasury

Treasury team is responsible for the Group's liquidity management, portfolio investment, financial risk hedging, external banking relationship management as well as day-to-day treasury settlement operations. It develops and implements cash flow policies and procedures to ensure sufficient operational liquidity as well as proper investment of surplus funds.

Business Management 

Business Management team partners with corporate and divisional leadership to help drive business growth, proactively manage business & commercial risks, and identify efficiencies and strategic opportunities. The function is a key enabler of good business planning and analysis that leads to informed decision-making. The team also helps identify KPIs and measures the Group's performance against these, building accountability and ownership.

China Holding Company, overseen by the Finance Division, provides centralised corporate services and local operational support to HKEX China entities, facilitating better coordination of initiatives and resource optimisation across entities.

Investor Relations

Investor Relations team focuses on effective communication with investors and analysts by providing relevant public information, in order to ensure our strategy and financials are well understood. Through a comprehensive engagement programme, institutional investors and analysts could interact with the Chairman, the Chief Executive Officer and other executives for updates on the development of the Group's strategic initiatives and operations, as well as HKEX's corporate governance policies.
