Through the HKEX Charity Partnership Programme, we are committed to supporting people within Hong Kong. In partnership with the Community Chest, the Programme sits alongside our other philanthropic work orchestrated through HKEX Foundation, and reflects our long-term commitment to our community and the markets in which we operate.

Chairman of HKEX Foundation
HKEX Foundation's flagship Charity Partnership Programme was launched in 2020, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of HKEX's own share listing. With our Values front and centre, and by working in partnership with The Community Chest of Hong Kong, we look to continue to give back to our community and help address its social and environmental challenges. Building on HKEX Foundation's inaugural HK$20 million donation to the Charity Partnership Programme, which is supporting more than 40,000 people in need across 10 community projects; we are looking forward to funding endeavours and making further contributions to our community, by focusing on four themes:

  • Financial Literacy – Promoting financial literacy and helping people from all walks of life improve their financial management skills and wellbeing;
  • Diversity and Inclusion – Fostering a diverse and inclusive community by encouraging gender equality and empowering ethnic minorities, those who are physically and/or mentally-disadvantaged, and people with special education needs;
  • Poverty Relief – Supporting the underprivileged and those who are vulnerable by providing access to basic economic and social services; and
  • Environmental Sustainability – Promoting awareness and understanding of the environmental impact of climate change, as well as advocacy and education programmes that encourage accountability and actions towards environmental protection.
