Since 2020, HKEX Foundation has set up the HKEX Charity Partnership Programme to support impactful community projects that creates structural and system changes run by local charitable institutions based on four focus areas: Financial Literacy, Social Empowerment, Talent Development and Environmental Sustainability, serving a wide spectrum of people in need and addressing various social and environmental challenges.

The application is now open for eligible local charitable institutions.

Application Period
24 June (2 p.m.) - 24 July 2026 (5 p.m.)

Eligibility
Local charitable institutions that are registered under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (Cap 112) for at least 3 years (on or before 24 July 2023).
 

Priority Themes under each Focus Area

1. Financial Literacy

  • Digital Financial Literacy in the Fintech Era
  • Financial Planning and Scam Prevention
  • Any other project ideas that enhance financial literacy

2. Social Empowerment

  • Caregiver Support
  • Diversity and Inclusion
  • Poverty Alleviation
  • Any other project ideas that enhance social empowerment

3. Talent Development

  • Future readiness for future economic and technological shifts
  • Upskilling of under-represented groups
  • Any other project ideas that enhance talent development

4. Environmental Sustainability

  • Decarbonisation and Circular Economy
  • Nature and Biodiversity
  • Any other project ideas that enhance environmental sustainability
 
Funding Amount

HKD 500,000 to HKD 5,000,000 per project

Duration
The duration of each proposed project should be 12, 24 or 36 months (Starting from 1 December 2026 and to be completed on 30 November 2027, 2028 or 2029).

Application Method and Deadline
Eligible local charitable institutions should submit online application on or before 24 July 2026, 5 p.m.
