Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is delighted to be hosting its inaugural HKEX Green Asia Summit (GAS) on 9 December 2021 to examine Asia’s net zero journey.
The business case for sustainability is becoming stronger every day, yet the path ahead is not clear. As Asia’s global marketplace, HKEX understands that we are key in building that path ahead. We have a crucial role to play in financing the transition to a low-carbon and sustainable economy, and to supporting net zero in Hong Kong, in China, and in Asia. From launching our own Sustainable and Green Exchange (STAGE), Asia’s first multi-asset sustainable investment product platform, to working with stakeholders to expand our sustainable finance ecosystem, we are driving the regional transition, step-by-step.
We know that collaboration and partnerships are key in delivering our collective climate ambitions. HKEX GAS 2021 will bring together CEOs, policy makers and sustainability experts from across the globe and in Asia, to share their insights on the role of capital markets in supporting the transition to a low-carbon and sustainable economy, and discuss how we can collectively leverage opportunities presented in the fast-changing technology and regulatory landscape in driving the climate agenda forward. The event is supported by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Securities and Futures Commission.
